Overview:
The inaugural Women’s Conference on Sustainability will bring together women who recognize the inherent links between women and the natural world. Through a unique format designed to capture women’s voices, the conference aims to:

  • Educate and inspire participants about the work of prominent women leaders in fields of environmental sustainability.
  • Renew women’s commitment to work related to sustainability.
  • Strengthen women’s professional networks.

The Conversation:
“Women and men ultimately want the same goals—clean air, clean water, more protected places in the natural world. But they have very different ways of communicating to achieve those goals.”
-Diane MacEachern

The conference will begin a dialog among women who are working toward environmental sustainability through the arts, science, conservation, faith, business, communications and politics.  We will discuss real ways to unite grassroots activism and make immediate impact.  Over time, we will build an online community to continue our dialog and record sustainable change as we make it happen.

Keynote Speaker:
Melinda Kramer, founding director of the Women’s Earth Alliance
