Winning Images from The Nature Conservancy/Wisconsin Trails 2005 Photography Contest
Wisconsin’s forests, lakes, rivers, prairies, and farmlands offer beauty and recreation throughout the seasons, support a variety of wildlife, and provide important economic resources. They also inspire photographers!
In 2005, The Nature Conservancy and Wisconsin Trails magazine sponsored a photography contest to solicit photos of the places in nature that are special to the people of Wisconsin.
To see just a few of the spectacular winning images from our 2005 photography contest, click on The Nature Conservancy/Wisconsin Trails slide show.
All of the winning photographs are traveling the state this year in an exhibit put together by The Nature Conservancy and Wisconsin Trails. We invite you to see the exhibit at one of the following locations in 2008:
Mosquito Hill Nature Center June 4 – June 29, 2008
New London, Wisconsin
Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center July 4 - November 30, 2008
Ashland, Wisconsin
Special thanks go to our photography contest judges Kathie Campbell, creative director of Trails Media Group; Jamie Young, fine-art and commercial photographer; and Jill Pelisek, Nature Conservancy board member.
