Since 1960, The Nature Conservancy in Wisconsin has protected more than 140,600 acres of forests, wetlands, prairies, lakes and streams for current and future generations to enjoy.


Spotlight

The late Newell and Ann Meyer have given the Nature Conservancy land, cash and other assets valued at a total of $12.5 million – the largest donation ever made for conservation in Wisconsin – to help conserve the Mukwonago River, the state's most biologically diverse small river system.

The Wisconsin Council on Invasive Species recognized Gene Roark of Madison for his work to stop the spread of invasive species.

The Nature Conservancy has returned a historic bench used by JFK during his run for the White House in 1960 to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The Conservancy received it as part of a record gift for conservation in Wisconsin.
