Application Process and Dates
- The application process for 2009 has closed and we will not be accepting any more permit applications for this season.
- The application for the 2010 permit will be posted on this page starting in mid-April, 2010. Follow the procedure below to apply for a permit for the 2010 season:
- For the preserves where we require a permit and fee, please download and print the Deer Hunting Application and Permit (available here after April 15, 2010) [48.7KB PDF]. This is a two page document consisting of both the permit and the application. Completely fill out both pages, making sure to sign and date the permit. To protect your privacy, please do not include sensitive personal information in this form. When using this form, you should never submit confidential financial or personal information, such as a credit card number. This document is in Adobe pdf format. See link below if you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- No applications will be accepted in person. You must mail both pages along with your check to:
The Nature Conservancy
633 West Main St.
Madison, WI 53703
Make checks payable to: The Nature Conservancy
- We will process permits on a first-come first-served, random basis based upon the date they are received. If you are granted a hunting permit your signed permit will be returned to you, along with a map, jacket tag, and car tag. Please allow at least FOUR (4) weeks for processing. Every year we receive far more permits than we have space available on our preserves. Your application does not guarantee you a spot to hunt at a Conservancy preserve. Your hunting fee will be returned if no openings are available.
- If you will be hunting with a minor who is not your own son or daughter, please contact us at wisconsin@tnc.org for an additional release of liability form.
No permits will be given over the phone or in person.
