Learn about and help restore one of WV's rare high-altitude wetlands!

 
Who? Fabulous volunteers! Bring a friend or pass along to someone you know.
What? Planting balsam fir seedlings, fitting each tree with gardening fabric, constructing fencing to encompass groups of fir seedlings.   
When? Monday, September 28
Where? Blister Swamp (Pocahontas County, WV) ~3 hrs from Roanoke, VA, ~2.5 hrs from Harrisonburg, VA, ~3 hrs from Charleston, WV.
Why? Blister Swamp is considered globally imperiled and is the single best place to do balsam fir swamp restoration in West Virginia.
