The Nature Conservancy Applauds Appointment of Delegate Bryant to Virginia Secretary of Natural Resources

Richmond, VirginiaDecember, 15 2005 — The Nature Conservancy applauds Governor-Elect Tim Kaine’s appointment of the Honorable Preston L. Bryant, Jr. as Virginia’s next Secretary of Natural Resources.

“Delegate Bryant has been a strong advocate for the protection of Virginia’s lands and waters,” said Michael Lipford, Virginia executive director.  “He is a terrific choice and we look forward to working with him.  We hope that he will continue to show leadership on the need to increase state funding for natural resources, a core function of state government.”
