2009 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
| |
To restore clayplain forests, we first need the trees. Join staff and volunteers throughout the spring, summer and fall for a variety of field activities including planting trees, collecting seeds and tending to the seedlings in our native plant restoration nursery.
Native plants perform best
Restoring native forests with native species gives the woods and the animals that live there the best chance of success. Mroe than 20 different species are grown at the Native Plant Restoration Nursery, a partnership with the Poultney-Mettowee Natural Resource Council.
