Volunteers in Utah make a difference for conservation across the state.  Whether mapping weeds along the Bear River Bottoms, planting and monitoring Autumn Buttercup seedlings, or conducting a "bioblitz" along the critical Boulder Creek watershed, volunteers are an integral part of The Nature Conservancy's conservation efforts.

In addition to conservation, volunteers are integral to important education and outreach programs.  At The Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve, volunteer naturalist guides lead 4th Grade and public tours from April through October, while other volunteers staff outreach tables or make presentations through our Speaker's Bureau.

Just as important are the volunteers who help our staff with administrative functions, such as donor mailings, front desk coverage, filing, organizing, and much more.

Volunteer Highlight: Ken Schreiner

The Nature Conservancy would like to extend a special thank you to one of our many star volunteers.  Ken Schreiner has volunteered as Naturalist Guide, worked numerous outreach tables, and organized a few of our disorganized closets.  With over 100 volunteer hours this year, Ken has truly helped accomplish The Nature Conservancy's mission.
