Visit Our Outdoor Classroom

The Nature Conservancy's Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve Visitor Center is the perfect place for students to learn about and experience the Lake's diverse wetland habitats and its array of birdlife.  Schools can sign up now to take self-guided tours at the Preserve by calling Heidi Nedreberg at (801) 531-0999.  Need more information on the Preserve or the Visitor Center and its educational exhibits?

Wings & Water Wetlands Education Program

The Nature Conservancy is currently revising and expanding its education program at the Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve. 

Geared toward fourth-grade students, the Wings & Water Wetlands Education Program features components such as naturalist-guided educational tours at the Conservancy's award-winning Visitor Center, activities and lessons for students, and teacher materials and workshop opportunities.
