The 2008 Tour Series
|
Date:
Saturday, June 14, 2008
Time:
8:00 am
Overview:
Join us for a free guided walk at Kay's Creek with expert birder Bill Fenimore of the Layton, Wild Bird Center. Formerly a dredged and straightened channel, Kay's Creek was restored to its natural meander in 2006. Combined with a number of restored ponds and wet meadows, the area has since attracted large numbers of shorebirds, waterfowl, and songbirds. This tour will allow you exclusive access behind the scenes of conservation while enjoying incredible birding. Bill will identify birds, answer questions, and sign copies of his new book "Backyard Birds of Utah", released April 1, 2008, which can be purchased at the tour for $9.95 + tax.
