Ranchers

As a landowner, you can make a difference. Texas’ ranching and agriculture industries are woven into the very fiber of the state’s economy, culture and heritage. More than 95% of Texas land is held in private ownership, much of it in large, intact family ranches. As the keepers and protectors of our lands and waters, private landowners are the past, present and future of conservation in Texas. The Nature Conservancy works in partnership throughout the state to keep family lands intact and in the process, protect Texas' precious natural resources.

There are numerous ways landowners can collaborate with the Conservancy or work on their own for the benefit of this state and its citizens. Click the links below to learn more about these important conservation and stewardship tools or download some of our materials related to ranching, agriculture and stewardship.
