Monica Clutch is canoeing the entire Hatchie River — a 200-mile trip — in 20-mile segments to gauge the health of this undammed and unchannelized river. To document her discoveries, she is regularly posting the Hatchie River Blog.
Monica Clutch is the West Tennessee Program Director for The Nature Conservancy. A 15-year resident of the state and an outdoor enthusiast, Clutch has participated in swimming, running, adventure racing, bicycling, hiking, and canoeing. Her favorite hobby is triathlon, in which her three favorite sports — swimming, bicycling, and running — are combined. She also enjoys travel and has immediate plans to take up scuba diving.
