MICHAEL PREVOST

Sewee to Santee Project Director

Michael is a native South Carolinian, raised in Georgetown. He has earned a BS and MS in Forestry/ Wildlife Management from the University of Georgia. He has been actively working in the field of coastal resource management for 30 years and has previously worked with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the SC Department of Natural Resources (formerly the South Carolina Wildlife and Marine Resources). Michael’s specialty is coastal wetland plant ecology, waterfowl habitat and wetland management. Michael joined TNC in 1992 as the Conservancy’s first ACE Basin Project Director and relocated to McClellanville to open the Sewee to Santee office in 2000.

As the Sewee to Santee Project Director, his responsibilities include land protection planning and implementation, landowner technical guidance, and donor relations.
