The Nature Conservancy Appoints Bill Wycoff to Board of Trustees
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA—June 29, 2005—The Nature Conservancy recently appointed Bill Wycoff, partner, and commercial and corporate litigation practice group chairman of Thorp Reed & Armstrong, LLP, to the Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy’s Pennsylvania Chapter.
Since 1951, The Nature Conservancy, a global non-profit organization has been instrumental in protecting and preserving nearly 117 million acres worldwide. Among its projects locally, the Pennsylvania Chapter is working in major landscapes across the state protecting forests, rivers and streams.
“Bill Wycoff brings not only a passion for the environment but also a wide array of expertise in litigation, civic and political matters, as well as public relations,” said Bill Kunze, state director of The Nature Conservancy in Pennsylvania. “He is a valuable addition to our Board.”
Wycoff has tried a variety of cases over 35 years and focuses his practice on corporate, contract, securities and class action litigation, most of which has been defense-oriented. Wycoff has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for 10 years in the categories of both Business and Personal Injury Litigation. He was also selected by the National Law Journal as one of the top 10 Commercial Litigators in Pennsylvania. Wycoff is also a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and maintains offices in both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
Wycoff, an avid hiker and traveler, has supported a number of environmental causes.

Wycoff graduated from Northwestern University Law School with a juris doctor degree and received a bachelor’s degree in Government from Cornell University.
Wycoff lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Debby and has two children.
