Acres for Nature

As we look to the future, one thing is very clear. The Nature Conservancy needs your help now. This is a call to action to invest in the critical conservation work done in our state. Your support of the Acres for Nature program will:

  • Provide stewardship to the largest protected remnant of the Tallgrass Prairie left on earth

  • Restore savanna landscape in the Ozark Plateau

  • Restore and protect critical wetlands in southeast Oklahoma

  • Protect nesting habitat for visiting Neotropical birds

  • Continue the fight against invasive plant species that threaten native landscapes

  • Provide the necessary financial support needed to maintain and conserve the chapter's preserves (see map).

Our mission is to protect the diversity of life on Earth. Our work is done in a non-confrontational manner and all donations to this program remain in Oklahoma. Working together we can make a lasting impact for the cause of biodiversity. Taking what we've learned from our conservation strategies, we are using the best available science, sound partnerships and innovative strategies to ensure the health and survival of the natural world that sustains us all.
