Brush Pile Collection
Date/Time:
Saturday, November 21st, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Overview:
Come help us collect and pile brush that has resulted from tree thinning that was done by staff to restore the preserve’s savannas and prairies. The densely growing trees are thinned so that sunlight can reach the ground and allow the sun loving prairie to grow once again. Piling the brush makes it easier for staff to do additional restoration work at these sites. We will meet at the preserve office then walk or carpool to the work site.
