Trail Maintenance

Date/Time:
Saturday, November 8th, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm

Overview:
Get ready for a great day! Today we will work to improve the much visited Abner Hollow trail. We will re-route a portion of the trail and make improvements to other sections. We will fill in wet areas with stone and possibly build a boardwalk. Be ready to saw, lift, carry, and dig. We will wrap-up the day with an educational hike lead by a Nature Conservancy or Cincinnati Museum Center staff person.
The schedule for today’s project is different than the typical volunteer project day. Today we will:

  • Meet at the preserve office - 9:30 a.m.
  • Carpool to the project site - 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Volunteer at the preserve - 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Lunch -12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Hike lead by staff - 1:00 p.m. to about 3:00 p.m.
