Lupine Seed Collection

Date/Time:
Saturday, June 21st, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Overview:
We will collect lupine seeds from many areas of the preserve. Many of these areas are closed to the public so by helping with this project, you will get to see areas of the preserve that most people don’t get to see. The seed will be stored and planted on the preserve in the fall to help make lupine the abundant plant it used to be in the Oak Openings Region. This will also increase the amount of available habitat for the three endangered lupine feeding butterflies found on the preserve.
