Annual, Biennial, Perennial Weed Pull
Date/Time:
Saturday, June 7th, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Overview:
This is our 14th Annual Weed Pull and you are invited to participate! We will pull invasive, non-native plants from the preserve. These plants take up space and out-compete many native prairie plants. By removing these aggressive plants we will be making more room for the native plants to spread and thrive. This creates better habitat for rare species such as the Lark Sparrow and Karner blue butterfly. We will focus on pulling ox-eye daisy, common mullein and sweet-clover.
