Wild Birds Unlimited Fundraiser - Bird Feeder Cleaner
Date/Time:
Saturday, October 4 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Overview:
Wild Birds Unlimited will be hosting a special fund raising event for the Conservancy—a bird feeder cleaning! Tom and Donna Sheley, owners of two Wild Birds Unlimited stores in the Columbus area, are generously donating their time, space, supplies, and proceeds for this event.
Keeping your bird feeder clean is essential in controlling the spread of disease in bird populations, encourages birds to visit your feeder with more frequency, and makes for a more enjoyable viewing experience.
If you would like to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to spruce up your feeders for winter, while simultaneously supporting the Conservancy, we invite you to stop by the store. Feeders will be checked in and tagged, then submerged in a diluted solution of disinfectant, followed by a power rinse, and finally dried. Conservancy volunteers, and Wild Birds Unlimited and Conservancy staff, will all be on hand working and enjoying the day’s festivities.
Interested in Volunteering:
We need 12-15 people willing to volunteer from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Please email jboreman@tnc.org.
