Piping Plover Steward:
This is an unpaid internship working with the Coastal Resources Manager to help monitor and protect the endangered piping plover.
Hours: flexible, up to 40/week

Invasives Intern
Help stop the spread of invasive plant species. Work with Conservancy staff on a variety of invasive species issues. This is both an office and fieldwork position.
Hours: flexible, at least two days a week, and up to 35 hrs.

Land Steward
Work with Conservancy staff to manage our preserves. This position is primarily an outdoor position, doing manual labor. It is tough, but rewarding work.
Hours: flexible, at least two days a week, and up to 35 hrs.

Marine/Coastal Program Assistant:
Provides support to the marine/coastal program coordinator.  Tasks will vary from conducting library research, retrieving library materials, maintenance of press clipping database (including scanning and computer and office filing), general filing, ordering clothing and supplies, updating electronic calendars, etc.
Hours: 4 hours, at least once a week.

Slide Scanning:
We need a dedicated volunteer to scan our collection of slides into digital images so we can make better use of our historical records and professional images. Must be comfortable working on a computer, although we will train to scan and save electronic images to our database. Must be available to assist during business hours (we are not open nights and weekends) either Mon, Tues, Wed or Fri. Actual schedule can be flexible. Access to a personal slide scanner is a plus. Ideally, we would like to complete this project before October 30, 2009.
