2008 Adirondack Preserve Workdays

We invite you to help care for our nature preserves by joining Stewardship Programs Coordinator Doug Munro on any of the dates below. From bears to bald eagles to black-backed woodpeckers, you never know what surprises you might find at any of these unique sites.

Everton Falls:
Saturday, April 26, 2008, 10:30 am – 3:00 pm
Preserve maintenance including trail, falls area, and canoe access followed by a paddle on the East Branch of the St. Regis River. Bring your own canoe or kayak, paddle(s), and PFD(s).

Clintonville Pine Barrens:
Thursday, May 1 (9:30 am – noon): Preserve Roadside Clean-up
Thursday, May 8 (10:00 am – 3:00 pm): Preserve maintenance including trail, parking area, and gate repair.

Hudson River Ice Meadows:
Tuesday, May 6 (10:00 am – 1:00 pm): Shoreline clean-up.

Silver Lake Bog:
Tuesday, May 13 (10:00 am – 3:00 pm): Preserve maintenance including trail, boardwalk, and parking area.

Spring Pond Bog:
Thursday, May 15 (10:00 am – 3:00 pm): Preserve maintenance including trail, boardwalk, and parking area.

Coon Mountain:
Tuesday, May 20 (10:00 am – 3:00 pm): Preserve maintenance including trails and parking area.

Gadway Pine Barrens:
Thursday, May 22 (10:00 am – 3:00 pm): Preserve maintenance including trail and parking area.

Big Woods:
Thursday, June 5 (10:00 am – 3:00 pm): Preserve maintenance including trails, gates, and invasive species.

Little Falls:
Tuesday, June 10 (10:00 am – 3:00 pm): Preserve maintenance including trail, gates, and falls area.
