The Nature Conservancy’s Young Professionals Group Goes Brazilian Festive for Fourth Annual Cocktail Benefit
New York, NY — February 12, 2009 — The Nature Conservancy's Young Professionals Group announced today its fourth annual cocktail benefit, Festa Brasileira. This year, proceeds will support restoration efforts in Brazil's Atlantic Forest.

BACKGROUND: For four years running, The Nature Conservancy’s Young Professionals Group has held a cocktail benefit to raise support for the Conservancy’s initiatives in New York and abroad. This year’s benefit will support restoration efforts in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest—one of the most threatened tropical forests on the planet.
This year’s fundraiser will carry the theme of Festa Brasileira and include an open bar provided by Cachaça Bar, Sagatiba and Barefoot Wines. Music will be provided by DJ Paul Heck. Additionally, there will be a silent auction featuring lots for every taste. Guests will have the chance to bid on items ranging from a weekend stay at the five-star luxury Mandarin Oriental, Riviera Maya; a three-night getaway to a resort in Ecuador; Yankees vs. Red Sox tickets; to dinners at restaurants throughout New York City.
The first 100 to attendees to RSVP will receive a gift bag stuffed with eco-friendly items and yoga studio passes.
