A Blueprint for a Better Lake Ontario

Lake Ontario Partnerships
In addition to The Nature Conservancy and the Nature Conservancy of Canada, 24 other organizations have been invited to participate in creating a binational plan of action for conserving and restoring the biological diversity of Lake Ontario and the upper St. Lawrence River.

The Binational Conservation Blueprint
The Binational Conservation Blueprint for the Great Lakes identifies more than 500 places in Canada and the United States that are priority sites for the conservation of biodiversity in the Great Lakes.  You can find out more about selected sites mentioned in the Blueprint here.

A detailed PDF of the Blueprint map is available for download; printed copies of the map and of the Binational Conservation Blueprint for the Great Lakes are available upon request - please email greatlakes@tnc.org for more information.
