Two decades ago, Mexico celebrated the birth of its first agency dedicated to the protection of the environment. Since then, environmental issues have assumed an increasingly important role in Mexican politics and everyday life. Today more than ever, conservation organizations enjoy greater support and more opportunities to take conservation action on the ground and promote environmental policy reform.
Through its national public policy strategy, The Nature Conservancy in Mexico is creating and strengthening partnerships with legislators and government agencies.
