Check out the Winners of The Nature Conservancy's Earth Day Photo Contest!
With 38 Different Entries, 3 Top WInners, and 5 Honorable Mentions, the Contest is Declared a Great Success
The Nature Conservancy of New York held its first ever Earth Day photo contest in April. All contestants, professional, amateur, or otherwise were encouraged to share with us their vision of New York. How do you celebrate Earth Day? What makes New York special to you - what places inspire you? Where do you go when you want to escape the hustle and bustle? Where are your favorite Great Places in New York?
With over 38 different photo entries (see some of them in this slideshow) , what we discovered was that many of you treasure New York’s last great places not only for their inherent beauty, but for the important value they add to your life. Your pictures, ranging from landscapes and close-ups, to people and aerial shots, represented the wide range of natural life in New York.
We are proud to share with you a sampling of some of our favorite photos received last month in this slideshow. Titles and photographers are listed below the photos, and winners have been notated.
Please direct all comments and questions to nyinfo@tnc.org.
