Fireside Chat: Deer Research on Shelter Island

Overview:
Come to the Manor House for dessert and coffee or tea beside a roaring fire to learn about topics of conservation concern. This month’s guest lecturer is Susan Walker of Cornell University. She is studying deer movement patterns in relation to the availability of corn at the “four poster” stations. Learn about why some deer have those big tags in their ears and what they are finding out about where deer live and move.
