11:00 am – 3:00 pm

Overview:
Mills-Norrie Point State Parks: Bring your children and enjoy the fall foliage in Staatsburg on the eastern shore of the Hudson River Estuary. The hike
will traverse well maintained, rolling trails through forests and wetlands with views of the Hudson
and Catskills. This family-friendly outing includes a scavenger hunt, geared for children ages 8 and
older. Children (and their accompanying adults) will explore the area’s wildlife, rare plants, and ecosystems.  Recommended for children ages 8+.

Distance: 5 miles. Terrain: Easy.

What to bring: Water, sunscreen, bug spray, comfortable footwear, snacks, and a bag lunch for all hikes over three hours. Cameras and binoculars are always great to have. Each hike has a limited capacity so reserve early. Hikes are free for all.

Registration:
Send a reservation request to Marie Jones at mjones@tnc.org. Please include your name(s), address, phone number and email address. If children are hiking, please include their names and ages in your reply.
After submitting your request, you will receive a confirmation email with driving directions and other logistical details. We will add your name to our chapter email list to keep you informed of future programs.
