Geocaching: High Tech Treasure Hunt

Overview:
Did you know you can use a GPS unit to find hidden “treasure?" Alone, with a friend or with the whole family, geocaching is perfect for those who love the outdoors and a challenge.

Jim Polychron, geocaching enthusiast, will introduce us to the sport which main purpose is to get people outside and exploring new areas. Bring a GPS if you have one and help us find a couple of specially placed caches at Mashomack.

Registration/Fee:
Reservations taken beginning October 1, 2008.  All programs require pre-registration. Call the Mashomack Preserve office at (631) 749-1001 for reservations, meeting place, and further information.

Events are free to members of The Nature Conservancy, $4 for non-members, unless otherwise noted.
