Date/Time:
Friday, July 18
6:30 - 8:30pm.

Overview:
The O.D. von Engeln Preserve at Malloryville features a great diversity of plants, glacial features, and wetland habitats in close proximity.

Bring the family on a 2-hour walk covering nearly 2-miles that will take you up and over an esker, along the edge of several kames and into kettles to explore flowering orchids, meat eating plants, and bubbly songbirds. Learn about the connection between the glacial features and these unique habitats, and how you can help protect them. If we are lucky this evening, we will hear the hoots and screeches of Malloryville's owls.

Overall this is a fairly level hike but there are a couple steep climbs so good hiking footwear is recommended.

Registration/Fee:
This hike is free and open to the public, but reservations are required by July 15.  Please contact Chris Lajewski at (315) 387-3600 x22 or clajewski@tnc.org.

Location:
O.D. von Engeln Preserve at Malloryville,
West Malloryville Road
Dryden, NY
