Overview:
The expanses of grassland along the Yellow and Green Trails are home to many sun-loving species. Originally this area was forest, but was converted to fields and used for agriculture for many years.

Come learn the human history of the Miss Annie’s Big House area and learn how The Nature Conservancy uses fire and mowing to manage these fields.

Registration/Fee:
Reservations taken beginning April 1.

All programs require pre-registration.  Call the  Mashomack Preserve office at (631) 749-1001 for reservations, meeting place, and further information. Events are free to members of The Nature Conservancy, $4 for non-members, unless otherwise noted.
