Date/Time:

Overview:
The Nature Conservancy of New York, New York City Audubon, and the Writers Voice welcome you to a discussion and book signing by Alan Weisman, one of the most esteemed science writers of our time, as he celebrates the release of his latest book, The World Without Us.

Stepping back from the overheated environmental debates of the day, Weisman offers an utterly original approach to questions of humanity's impact on the planet: he asks us to envision our Earth, without us.

Weisman will talk about his experiences writing The World Without Us, his thoughts on the current environmental atmosphere, and answer questions from the audience.

A book sale and signing will follow.

A joint program with New York City Audubon and the Westside YMCA Writer's Group.

Registration/Fee:
This program is free and open to the public.  Because of limited space, RSVPs are highly recommended.  Please contact (212) 381-2195 or nycevents@tnc.org.
