Overview:
Join the staff, trustees, and supporters of The Nature Conservancy's New Hampshire chapter as we celebrate a remarkable year of success!
This year's annual meeting will be held at the gorgeous grounds of the Tin Mountain Conservation Center in Albany, N.H., just south of Conway. The setting is conveniently located for an array of interesting field trips, from easy nature walks on Tin Mountain's trails to vigorous hikes at the Conservancy's Green Hills Preserve.
After a quick review of the past year's conservation success stories, we'll hear a personal and captivating account of one conservationist's connection with nature. This year's guest speaker is Janisse Ray, author of the widely acclaimed book, "Ecology of a Cracker Childhood." Ray will discuss her own linkage between her youth in poor, rural Georgia and nature's sanctuary around her.
After lunch, join us for a field trip where we'll make our own connections with nature and conservation. Among the options:
-
TNC's Green Hills Preserve
-
Saco River canoe/kayak trip
-
Habitat Restoration in the Ossipee Pine Barrens
-
On The Cusp of Land Protection in the Ossipee Pine Barrens
-
Frank Bolles Preserve, Tamworth
-
Guided Nature Hike at Tin Mountain Conservation Center
