Eleven hardy volunteers came out to the Lockwood project site to help TNC battle weeds that are encroaching on the native revegetation efforts. Satisfying revenge was had as the volunteers focused on that bane of bike tires and dog paws: puncturevine a.k.a. goat heads. We enjoyed the return of previous volunteers as well as a new visit by the hiking group known as the Rat Pack. The group managed to cover the whole site pulling the weeds, and then relaxed with some snacks after the hard work of grappling with those nasty, thorny plants. Thanks to all who joined us!
