Volunteers planting

A small but dedicated group of volunteers made it out to the Lockwood restoration project on Thursday 5/28 to work with Preserve Manager Chris Sega. The team planted native trees along a stream bed and put up protective fencing to keep deer and other animals from making a snack out of the hard work. As we neared the end of the warm three hour event, the Indian Proverb "Only mad dogs and the British go out in the noon day sun" did come to mind. Thanks to all who came out and we look forward to seeing you at the next event!

If you are interested in joining this great team of volunteers, please contact Martin Swinehart at nvfovolunteer@tnc.org or call 775.224.9158.
