When Volunteering

The Conservancy will provide all the tools, but think about bringing:

  • Work gloves
  • Solid shoes - sandals, etc. wouldn't be a great idea.
  • Sunscreen and/or sun hat
  • Water and a small snack
  • Lots of energy!

Please note that minors need to be accompanied by an adult.

There are many ways to get involved in helping the Consevancy fulfill its mission in Nevada.  Sign up by filling out our volunteer form or check back to this page for additional information on upcoming opportunities.

Join Us!  Upcoming volunteer activities:

Friday, October 23rd:  Grand Sierra Resort - Buckbean Brewery CanFest
6:30pm - 10:30pm

Local beer maker Buckbean Brewery, in conjunction with The Grand Sierra Resort is putting on this festival with proceeds going to environmental organizations including The Nature Conservancy.

As The Nature Conservancy is a beneficiary of this event, we will be onsite generally helping out with the event and are looking for volunteers as well. This should be a fun event to be a part of.

Friday October 23, 2009: River Fork Ranch near Genoa
10 am - 4 pm

Join us to plant cottonwood trees at River Fork Ranch and learn about the work the Conservancy is doing on the Carson River.  A volunteer appreciation BBQ will follow.  Thanks to our partners Mariah Power and Audubon Society for helping us put on this great event.

For more information or to RSVP by Wednesday October 21, contact Anne Thomas at athomas@tnc.org or 775790.4436.

River Fork Ranch is located at 381 Genoa Lane, one mile east of the town of Genoa.  Look for a light yellow, two-story house with a detached garage. A light lunch will also be served.
