Breakfast cookout in the shadow of Ear Mountain

There's nothing like a tasty breakfast cooked outdoors, in the shadow of Ear Mountain

A breakfast favorite -- Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Cream:

  • 1 c butter
  • 2 c sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Fold in:

  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Mix and fold in:

  • 2 c flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Filling

  • 1 c pecans, chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tsp sugar

Pour half of batter into a greased tube pan. Springle with filling. Top with remainder of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Enjoy.
