HIKING THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN FRONT
Overview: The vibrant September colors that paint the dramatic Rocky Mountain Front landscape each fall season provide a spectacular backdrop for hiking. Although the weather is always unpredictable and participants should be prepared for anything, including sun, rain, or snow, the month of September often boasts crystal clear, moderate days ideal for walking and exploring. This remote region of north central Montana is renowned for abundant wildlife and plenty of space for solitude. The peaceful mountain setting of the Guest Ranch, complete with warm rustic cabins and delicious food, is the perfect base for daily explorations. Each day our naturalists will offer hikes that vary in both length and difficulty depending on the requests of our guests. This is one of our most flexible workshops, aimed at allowing our guests to take on some of the more challenging hikes available along the Rocky Mountain Front while still providing interpretive information from the naturalists. We hope to tailor the hikes each day to the wishes of our guests. If you have further questions please do not hesitate to give us a call at 406-466-2158.Enrollment and Cost: Cost is $1800.00 per person. Price includes lodging, meals, airport shuttle, and all activities. Please contact Pine Butte Guest Ranch for more information. Accommodations: You’ll stay at the historic Pine Butte Guest Ranch, set in a spectacular mountain valley surrounded by thousands of acres of wilderness. It’s the perfect place to "get away from it all" and enjoy outstanding food and cozy lodging. Learn more: We look forward to hosting you at Pine Butte Guest Ranch!
