Date:
September 11-18-2005

Overview:
The vibrant September colors that  paint the dramatic Rocky Mountain Front landscape each fall provide a spectacular backdrop for hiking.  Although the weather is always unpredictable and participants should be prepared for anything, including sun, rain, or snow, typically September boasts clear, cool days ideal for walking and exploring.  Moreover, this remote region in north central Montana is renown for abundant wildlife and ample solitude. The peaceful mountain setting of the Guest Ranch, complete with warm rustic cabins and delicious food, is the perfect base for daily explorations.

Each day our naturalists will offer different hikes that vary in both length and difficulty depending on the requests of our guests. Guests will be able to take some of the challenging hikes along the Rocky Mountain Front accompanied by our naturalists who will provide interpretive information. We hope to tailor the hikes each day to the wishes of the participants.

Cost:
$1400 per person. Includes transportation to and from Great Falls, food, lodging and activities.
