Missouri's Campaign for Conservation

This fall, the Conservancy in Missouri announced the largest private conservation campaign in history - the Campaign for Conservation - with a goal of $18 million to conserve and protect critical lands an waters in Missouri and throughout the world.

Conservation is at an urgent point in Missouri, the nation and the world. Climate change, the loss of global habitat and species, freshwater shortages and the detrimental effects of invasive species are becoming daily news here and across the globe.

By working in partnership with landowners, conservation organizations and public agencies, the Campaign for Conservation will effectively leverage resources and be able to achieve lasting results on the ground and in the water. Using scientific, systematic planning, areas deemed the most crucial to the survival of the natural systems in Missouri and around the globe are targeted. And finally, the Conservancy continues to find win-win outcomes between the economic needs of the people and the conservation work necessary to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth.
