Americorps
The Americorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) has contributed greatly to the objectives of the fire program in central Minnesota. In the past two years, groups of 10 Americorps volunteers have participated in the National Fire Plan on six occasions (ranging from two to six-week periods).

Camp Ripley National Guard Base
Since 2001, The Nature Conservancy in central Minnesota has partnered with Camp Ripley, assisting with prescribed fire, grassland management, forest inventory and environmental education, as well as land management.

Minnesota Conservation Corps
Four Minnesota Conservation Corps members were contracted using funds from the National Fire Plan during 2006. This team served as prescribed fire and fuels technicians to help achieve the goals and objectives of the grant in central Minnesota. They provided support in fire unit preparation, mechanical fuels reduction and prescribed fire implementation.
