Date:
Saturday, October 11, 2008

Time:
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Overview:
This tour begins at Lake Christina, a shallow lake with an abundance of water plants and canvasback ducks. A staff member from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will speak to us about restoration efforts on the lake, and we will then caravan to the Seven Sisters Preserve to hike the tallest knob, which promises a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Afterward, there will be an optional caravan to Inspiration Peak for a short hike and another stunning view.

Please note that this trip takes place during waterfowl migration, which coincides with hunting season. Lake Christina is open to hunting at this time.

How to Prepare for the Hike:
Bring a lunch and wear comfortable, sturdy walking shoes or boots.
Participants should be aware that the hike to Seven Sisters is strenuous for about 30 minutes and is not advised for people with health concerns.

Registration/Information:
This hike is free. There is no size limit.
