Wetipquin Pond Details

Wetipquin Pond is a delmarva bay preserve that feels quite remote. All of the lines run through woods, and none are on roadsides, so it is unlikely that boundary volunteers here will encounter anyone or any encroachment. It has been a while since these lines were walked and marked, though, so the volunteer here should have good map and compass skills, and a lot of patience.

The challenges at this preserve include swampy wet terrain, greenbrier, chiggers and ticks.  The best time to do boundary work will be the late fall and winter when leaves are down, visibility is good and the ticks have died off.  The terrain here is quite flat.
