Update on cute baby trees!

Hemlock Forest

Here’s some data on little trees you have helped us plant over the years:

  • Sideling Hill Creek, Yonker Floodplain planting project, April 1998: of 1100 saplings planted, 50% have survived after 5 years....not bad considering we have had some bad drought summers and even pampered garden plants didn’t all make it! All 12 species planted had some survivorship.
     
  • Cranesville Swamp, spruce planting, April 2002:
    73% survivorship after 1 year.
