Help Remove Invasive Vines on Plummers Island

Location: Plummers Island, near Lock 10 along the C&O Canal  9am-1pm

Come on out and help us cut bittersweet vines and bush honeysuckle shrubs--we found some enormous ones out on Plummers Island! After cutting the plants with loppers and hand saws a Conservancy staffer paints the stumps with an herbicide to stop resprouting.

Meet at the lock 10 parking area along the C&O Canal (accessible only heading south on the Clara Barton Parkway). Email for directions. Bring lunch and water.
