English Ivy Saw-down on the C&O Canal

Saturday, 10-12:30, Bethesda, MD (near Cabin John) (optional hike in the afternoon with AMC)

Join us for a few hours of cutting invasive English Ivy vines off the trees along the canal with members of the Appalachian Mountain Club.

We will likely be meeting at Carderock and carpooling down since the lock we are meeting at has a very small parking area. Email for directions and the full plan. Please alert us that you are coming by emailing PotomacGorgeVol (at) tnc.org or calling Mary at 301-897-8570.

Bring lunch along and we'll take a quick break to eat afterwards. And if you have the afternoon free, join the AMC members for their hike up the canal back to their cars! If you have a sturdy screwdriver or small prybar, bring it along to help pry the big vines off.
