We need volunteers to help with several projects at The Nature Conservancy office in Brunswick. Some of these projects can be done from home.  Please use your skills to help us accomplish these very important jobs. 

Develop Filing System
Develop and implement filing system for Associate State Director’s office.  Does not include actual filing, just developing system.

Document Scanning

  • Scan conservation easement baseline documents from the pre-digital age to provide digital backup for critical historic documents.
  • Scan and label historic photoplot slides from Crystal Bog

Mt. Agamenticus History
Enter historical notes and newspaper articles with citations relating to Mt. Agamenticus into MS Word and organize so that they can be edited for possible publication.

GIS Project
Screen select ponds for boat ramps using digital aerial photos (requires knowledge of ArcGIS)

Field Trip Coordinator
Four member hikes are scheduled for summer 2008.  A volunteer is needed to take RSVP’s, maintain participant lists and waiting lists, answer questions and provide information to participants.  This will be an on-going job.  Volunteer should be willing to give some time each week to the job.

Assistant Volunteer Coordinator
Help recruit and communicate with volunteers for all the exciting projects.  Prepare and send out notices; Answer emails; Make sure volunteer information gets to the right staff person. This will be an on-going job.  Volunteer should be willing to give some time each week to the job.
