Caddo Black Bayou Preserve is a spring-fed, natural are that includes braided streams, cypress-tupelo swamps, bottomland hardwood forests and a unique sandhill forest that harbors a variety of rare plant species. This preserve is not open for public visitation.

What the Conservancy Has Done/Is Doing
The Nature Conservancy of Louisiana is focusing its efforts on conserving the larger floodplain bottomland hardwood forest system, cypress swamp and the sandy hills which support numerous rare plant species.
