Conservation Buyer Program

The Nature Conservancy's Conservation Buyer Program allows us to work with private purchasers to protect land that buffers biologically sensitive areas.  These properties typically do not harbor rare or endangered species but offer a shield of protection from such things as development, damaging agricultural practices, and  pollution.

The Kentucky Chapter's Timberlake property in Hart County is currently available for purchase.

New Nature Plates Support Conservation

Drive Home Your Support for the Outdoors and Keep Kentucky In a Natural State.  Buy a Nature License Plate when you register your vehicle.  Money from the sale of the plate goes into the Heritage Land Conservation Fund for purchasing natural areas to be left as wild places held in trust for future generations. Since the program began in 1995, Kentuckians have contributed more than $8.6 million.
