Location:
Konza Prairie, located south of Manhattan off I-70 on Exit  #307 McDowell Creek Road. Konza is located 4.5 miles north on McDowell Creek Road.

Overview:
The Nature Conservancy and the Kansas State University Division of Biology invite you to the Konza Open House, Saturday, September 27, 2008. Konza Preserve is operated as a field research station by the Division of Biology. Visitors' Day activities include guided access to to the restricted areas of the field research station, guided bus tours of the bison herd, and trail hikes. At the station headquarters, visitors can view live animal displays and research exhibits and learn more about tallgrass prairie conservation and management. Kids can earn their Junior Ecologist badge, and learn about grasshoppers and bison.

Registration/Fee:
The event is open to the public. The homestead tours, hay wagon rides and bus tours will be available for a small fee.
